Director of Communications

Circa £65-75,000 per annum
Location: Based at our head office in Grantham, East Midlands

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity and our vision is a UK rich in native woods and trees enjoyed and valued by everyone.

We are looking for an exceptional Director of Communications to develop and implement an innovative communications plan that will create a step change in awareness of our cause and of the organisation across key stakeholders and target audiences. We need someone who can engage people in the most inspirational ways.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead and inspire the organisation to deliver communications excellence, in a fast paced open environment, having a strong influence across the Trust. You will have a proven track record of delivering organisational messages to the broadest of audiences, to generate support and influence for the benefit of the Trust.

You will have superb communications skills, a passion for relationship development and a wide network of influential contacts.

An interest in conservation and an understanding of the charity and environmental sectors is also highly desirable.
