The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity dedicated to preventing no further loss of ancient woodland, restoring and improving biodiversity, increasing native woodland cover, as well as enhancing people’s awareness and enjoyment of woods. We have more than 1,000 sites in our care covering approximately 19,000 hectares (47,000 acres).
The Woodland Trust is looking for an effective senior manager to manage and develop a wide range of campaigning activity covering casework and threatened sites as well as thematic public facing campaigns to inspire supporters to act on behalf of our cause.
Having a strong creative approach to communications and campaigns, with a genuine passion for the environment, you will use your experience of successful delivery to plan, manage and develop our campaigning activity. Experience of working within the environment and/ or voluntary sector role is essential. Educated to degree level, you will have a sound knowledge of campaign processes and government working.
Working closely with internal colleagues and external partners, you will have excellent organisational skills and be able to multi-task to deliver work to tight deadlines. You must have the ability to lead a team and command respect from others, both internally and externally. As a self motivated and dynamic individual you must be enthusiastic and committed to the aims and values of the Woodland Trust. You must also be able to travel.
